About Us
Shomera for a Better Environment is an award winning non
profit whose goal is to build a vital, sustainable urban
environment and society. Shomera is a dynamic
organization that has made a large impact and solidified
its reputation as an innovative and influential Israeli
NGO over eleven years of pioneering environmental and
social initiatives. Today, Shomera's influence on the

international arena.
Affecting Change
Shomera is an environmental innovator which seeks to
affect change through creative approaches to
problem solving, and dynamic initiatives with vision and
scope. We strive to contribute to the sustainability
of cities and communities via the integration of
greenbuilding and green cities practices, water
conservation measures, advocacy for open spaces and
community education and outreach.
Shomera works with academia, business, government and
third sector partners to jointly deliver initiatives
designed to generate a tangible impact on the
environment and quality of life. Shomera's track record
of success demonstrates that by working together, change
can really happen.
Broad Outreach
Over the
years, Shomera has reached out and educated Israelis about the
importance of a healthy and sustainable society,
bringing new populations into the environmental fold.
We are proud to have engaged diverse communities in
meaningful environmental activity: children and senior
