Get Involved Volunteers There is a diverse selection of volunteering opportunities at Shomera: leading hikes in the Jerusalem Forest and walks around the neighborhoods of the city, instructing arts and crafts activities for children, lecturing on nature and environmental issues, maintaining the Shomera Educational Centre in the Jerusalem Forest, manning informational booths and assisting in the administration of the organization. We welcome additional ideas and initiatives for volunteering involvement. Donations Shomera's activities are based on donations, designated for the organization in general, or earmarked for a specific project. Israeli contributions are tax deductible. US tax deductible contributions may be sent to PEF Israel Endowment Funds, Inc. 317 Madison Avenue, Suite 607, New York, NY 10017 with a recommendation that it be used for Shomera. Shomera is a recognized ngo, qualifying for a tax-free status by the Israeli Income Tax Authority. |
